 Oh pharmacology, how you've taught me so much already. Since the very first day of this program, I've been caught in a whirlwind of information. I feel as though I've absorbed more knowledge than I ever expected with this program. The professors are so very kind and I can feel their positive energy radiating every time one of them steps in front of the class. I can tell that they all want us to not only pass but excel in this program. This helps to keep me motivated and push through studying even when all I want to do is relax! 

Another strong motivator in this program are my classmates. To jumpstart our program we had a bowling outing and I knew immediately that this group would be supportive and kind to me throughout this journey. We've been able to enjoy study groups and outings as not only classmates, but friends. I hope that this continues throughout the rest of the year!

Though I did not actually begin volunteering this month, I did put plans in place so that I can begin as soon as possible. I spoke with some of my past contacts and friends in the program to get things started. Some places of interest are soul nola, sprout nola, and Hollygrove community center. These are places that I've volunteered with in the past and always had an amazing time! Despite having connections in the community, I've been wanting to spread my wings and try new things! Therefore I've also reached out to Raintree house and a tutoring center! I hope to finalize a weekly time slot for one or more places as soon as possible!

So far I am LOVING this program and I cannot wait to see what else I learn and experience. :)
